Hugh Hegarty has a background in the commercial management of major capital infrastructure projects. Hugh was the Commercial Manager for the Siemens Transportation Systems business having worked on Sheffield Supertram, CTRL, Heathrow Express, the London Underground PPP and South West Trains rolling stock opportunities. Hugh also spent three years with Alstom establishing their rolling Stock maintenance business in the UK. Over the past six years, Hugh has been the Major Events Director responsible for Siemens plc’s activity in relation to major events in the UK. As Major Events Director the role encompassed all activities ranging from: sponsorship of London’s 2012 Olympic bid, marketing strategy, business development, strategic partnership establishment and bid support across the entire portfolio of Siemens businesses.
