- Payne Security, a major international provider of security document solutions, successfully delivered a secure accreditation solution to WorldSkills London 2011, the largest international skills competition and careers event ever held.
- Payne Security was selected by the organisers for their experience of providing accreditation solutions for high profile events including major international sporting events.
Payne Security worked alongside the organisers to develop a secure pass design which conformed to the marketing guidelines, was easily identifiable to officials and incorporated the wide range of different data fields required.
Each of the 22 specific delegate types required a different accreditation pass, including 31 variable data fields (such as name, accommodation, food, competition access and transport).
Over 11,000 passes were produced in total, for delegates from the 51 participating countries/regions as well as volunteers, sponsors, media and others.
Passes were produced using a paper insert, personalised using Payne Security’s IDPro7 pass creation software, then heat sealed into a robust laminate pouch to protect the personal data.
The majority of the 11,000 accreditation passes were produced by Payne Security prior to the event, for delegates who registered in advance using WorldSkills’ online registration system. The remaining passes were produced onsite during the four days of the event.
The event, which took place from the 5th – 8th October at ExCeL, London, was hailed as a major success by the organisers. Over 200,000 UK visitors were registered to attend, including high profile guests such as Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson.
