The appointment comes as the independent agency intensifies its focus on securing the best talent in the industry to help drive aggressive expansion plans across the globe. Pritchard will take up the role in July 2009 and will report in to the agency's joint CEO and founder Stewart Shanley. Her remit will include Board level recruitment, building world class regional management capability and leadership development across the network. Pritchard brings over 15 years of experience from senior HR roles held at BT, the Royal Mail, and the BBC and has a number of qualifications from some of the world's finest business institutions including Harvard Business School. Her most recent role at BT, which she's held since 2006, saw her responsible for the organisational development and talent management of its Group Functions population of 4, 000 people. Iris employs over 650 people in 13 offices worldwide and the appointment is a clear statement of the agency's intent to continually improve its investment in people as it grows in geography and expertise. Stewart Shanley, CEO and founder of Iris, said: "Never has talent been more important and in Kathryn we've found a brilliant individual that has the level of expertise and professionalism our growing agency demands. This new role has been created as iris looks to continually improve and rollout its client–centric model across the world, with talent at the heart of it all". Pritchard said: "I'm incredibly excited by the opportunity at Iris. It's a hugely ambitious company that understands the importance of investment in talent, especially in times of growth. I'm looking forward to working with Stewie and the team to deliver Iris' vision of offering careers rather than jobs and helping all employees realise their potential as part of this growing global network".
