July theme - Stadia
Rachael Church-Sanders, 5 July 2010
Throughout July 2010, MEI is focusing on the permanent venues that provide the locations for major events. Stadia architecture over the years has developed from the purely functional where the main objective was to get the desired number of spectators as close to the action as possible with a structure that was sufficiently aesthetic in order for local residents, the nation and even the world to become proud of it. Now stadia are becoming not just accepted, but icons in their own right.
If you want to find out more about the business of constructing and running stadia and arenas, then MEI is the resource for you during this month as we keep you informed through our case studies, Q&As and features. We will also keep you up-to-date on general industry news as usual. Just visit our 'News' section to find out more.
