The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) hosts an Annual General Assembly every year to bring together representatives from various countries to discuss and address critical issues related to the world of motorcycling. In addition to this important event, the FIM also hosts an annual Awards Dinner ceremony, which aims to recognise and honour the World Champions in all motorcycling disciplines.
The 2023 edition was held at the ACC Liverpool and involved the whole venue being booked. To ensure the safety of all attendees at the event, our member company, 2CL Communications Ltd, collaborated with EVOLV systems to provide a Dual-Lane security solution that quickly and accurately screened everyone entering the venue using revolutionary technology designed for mass participation events.
The 2CL and EVOLV partnership was a perfect solution for high-volume crowd screening, with the EVOLV kit able to screen up to 3,600 people per hour via a touchless walk-through flow method without dispossessing bags and personal items by detecting weapons and ignoring harmless items. This is up to ten times faster and up to 70% cheaper than metal detectors, making it an ideal fit for this event in Liverpool. This solution compliments the Radio technology solutions provided by 2CL. Through MEI Membership, the 2CL and EVOLV partnership is the only way to hire this solution in the UK, which is perfect for events and venues that are assessing their security protocols in preparation for Martyn’s Law.
Dennis Mills, CEO of Major Events International, acknowledges the support of 2CL/EVOLV in ensuring the safety and security of delegates and visitors to the General Assembly and the Awards Dinner. The event was a great success with the FIM attendees leaving with fond memories of their time in Liverpool. Providing 2CL and EVOLV with the opportunity to participate in iconic events like this is exactly why the Membership scheme seeks to add value in such a way. Supporting Federations, all of whom host significant world championships is all part of the 2CL/EVOLV growth strategy.
