A roundup of 2022 from Miller
With the events industry very much back in action, Miller has had a really positive year with a range of opportunities arising from the return of the events and touring sectors.
This has resulted in a variety of our clients needing specialist advice and cover, including the following:
- Event Managers - a broad range of events from conferences, multi-sport events to mass participation
- Stadium Owners - maximising their facilities through concerts, boxing matches and American sport
- Touring Artists - returning to the stage with both UK and global tours
Bolstering our capabilities
- In addition to our existing Sports, Music and High Net Worth teams, we have extended our Sports & Entertainment capabilities with the hiring of further specialists, including:
- A dedicated Media, Film & TV team, giving Miller the ability to cater for the specialist needs of these types of clients – for example production insurance as part of an AdWrap
- Specialist motor insurance for professional sport
- A specialist Bloodstock and Equestrian team
Highlights from the year
- It’s been a very positive year for Miller with the team’s status as leaders in the Sports & Entertainment sector, boosted with some key long terms relationships further extended after tenders. The Premier League, FIA, Formula E and World Rugby amongst those who have appointed us for a further period.
- Some fruitful discussions in Lausanne have led to opportunities for 2023 with International Federations
- We have negotiated many positive claim resolutions for our clients
