UK Events Summit, to be held on 15th December, kindly hosted by Emirates Old
Trafford in Manchester in partnership with the Women's Sports Alliance and in
association with Cube International.
The annual event, which serves to facilitate the sharing of best practice across
the diverse range of event-focused communities in the UK, returns to a
face-to-face format in 2021 and has selected Emirates Old Trafford, which has
a track record in delivering high-profile events in a Covid-secure environment,
as it's host venue. It is the first time ever that the sport and music communities
have been formally invited to share ideas and inspiration as well as to find ways
of coordinating and collaborating in person.
This year's event will see some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment feature with the likes of the Jockey Club, Commonwealth Games 2022, RLWC21, The FA, The LTA, GB Cycling, Premiership Rugby, eSports events and the UK's biggest and most successful festivals - and their sponsors, providing speakers for a range of workshops, panel discussions and keynote sessions during the day-long event.
We are delighted to announce that Figen Murray will also be providing her story on the journey towards the all-important Martyn's Law.
The event is run in partnership with the Women's Sports Alliance (WSA) which will be running a tangential programme of content and will finish the day with the WSA Awards Celebration, recognising inspirational individuals in womens' sport. The WSA’s programme of Summit guest speakers include some of the experienced experts in women’s sport. Following the Global Summit, the WSA Awards Celebration will recognise some of the biggest women’s sport moments of 2021. Based at Emirates Old Trafford, the Women’s Sports Alliance Summit and Awards is set to be one of the most celebratory events in women’s sport history.
At a time of significant challenge and continued uncertainty for the broad and diverse UK Event ecosystem; ranging from air shows to festivals, sports events to business and local authority conferences and expos, the December event will give delegates the chance to meet physically and renew or build new relationships.
