Rugby Europe and MEI

10th July 2023

Major Events International is proud to announce a partnership with Rugby Europe. This partnership means that MEI is contracted to find Host Cities for Rugby Europe events, such as the Men’s and Women’s 7s Championship Series in Hamburg from the 7th to the 9th July 2023. This was the first successful step of MEI-Rugby Europe’s cooperation.

“We are delighted to be working with Rugby Europe in seeking interest in hosting their iconic competitions, as well as finding new commercial opportunities via the MEI membership. Backed by a willingness to engage, the task of finding the host for the Rugby 7 Championship Series in Hamburg was made easier albeit timescales were challenging. Following the success of this initial project we look forward to the next events that needs a venue and the commercial companies MEI members willing to join Rugby Europe”, said Dennis Mills, MEI CEO.

“We are pleased to partner with MEI for our events. Thanks to their expertise and their wide network, we will be able to establish our competitions in major cities such as Hamburg on a long-term basis and to expand rugby footprint throughout Europe” says Florent Marty, CEO of Rugby Europe.
