About the Partnership
World Football Summit (WFS) is holding its seventh edition of its flagship event, WFS Europe, in Seville on September 20-21 to which MEI will attend along with representatives of their global community; WFS and MEI will strengthen their collaboration to support the objectives of both organisations. MEI is launching an inaugural football city forum as part of their multi sports and other iconic events in Lausanne at their annual Summit.
With the Women’s 2023 World Cup commencing soon and preparations for the 2024 UEFA euros and the 2026 world cup moving into full mobilisation, the WFS and MEI relationship seeks to provide support to the numerous agencies and stakeholders involved in the delivery of iconic international football tournaments and events.
World Football Summit
Since 2016 World football summit has hosted 15 events across the world, which has attracted more than 21,000 attendees from some of the biggest organisations in world football from FIFA, UEFA, La Liga and many more. They have secured nearly 1,300 speakers in that time that have come from organisations such as Meta, Chelsea FC or FC Barcelona as well other thousands of companies, football clubs, leagues and federations from around the world. Today, WFS has become the largest platform that connects the global industry.
Major Events International
MEI are holding the 6th edition of their annual hosts and federations summit at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Here they will be providing a platform for Host Cities, International Federations and Expert Suppliers to engage at the heart of the Olympic Movement, with a rich programme where they will share expertise, challenges and solutions.
WFS and MEI are looking to leverage the combined strength of both organisations to provide a platform for all major sporting event professionals and industry professionals to engage and work together, to enhance respective world championships and tournaments.
