Dennis Mills

CEO

Dennis is the Founder and Chief Executive of Major Events International (MEI). Since forming in 2007, his role is to ensure MEI continues to extend it geographic and customer reach and quality control of all deliverables. His experience includes: assessing and leading must-win bids, setting requirements for complex procurement, running prime contracting business and preparations and delivery of major events. Prior to forming MEI he has worked for Thales where he formed and ran the Land Systems business achieving rapid growth in new markets prior to establishing the Security Systems business in UK with responsibility for major events. His last appointment was the London 2012 Account Director for Atos Origin, the International Olympic Committee World-Wide IT partner having completed training in Beijing in the build up to the 2008 Olympic Games. His formative working years were in the UK Army where he retired in the rank of Colonel with a Command and Control and Security background.

Andy Rice

COO

Andy has had a long and successful media and events career. With a Sport and English degree from Loughborough University, he started work as a graduate trainee at IPC in 1985. After a series of management roles he was part of the team that took Market Link Publishing public in 1998. He then became Publishing Director at SportBusiness International and, over a period of 8 years, helped transform it into the market-leading, multi-media brand it is today. Andy joined the executive board of the Press Association in 2011, heading up sport and managing the partnerships with LOCOG and The Premier League. In 2013 he joined the executive board of Future Media, heading up the Sport, Auto and Music Division, until their sale to Immediate Media. After retraining as an English teacher, Andy spent a couple of years at his old school and working for an educational charity before returning to the business of sport as COO of Major Events International.

Claudio Ballor

Federation Account Director

Claudio has been working in the international proffessional sports industry since 2007. His experiences in the fields come from two different directions : 

 

Event Management : For 8 years Claudio managed different roles in a professional boxing team called Italia Thunder, known as Dolce&Gabbana Milano Thunder for 4 seasons. Here, Claudio delivered 83 Olympic related events (or 435 single matches) worldwide, hand in hand with LOCs, event organizers, brands, host broadcasters, and national federations working on site from 4 different continents.

Media & Marketing: After a decade as a local journalist, Claudio switched to a managerial role at Infront Sports&Media where in 7 years he delivered : the media rights of 4 European Volleyball Championships, and 2 Beach Volleyball Master tournaments. Claudio dedicated his last 2 years there to a more specific marketing role, with a particular focus on activations data-driven (affiliate marketing) in football.

The majority of his Major Events experiences are with the ;  FIFA Confederations Cup and World Cup in Brazil where he was the Director of Supply Chain from Aramark and Rio Olympics where he was the Head of Operations for PKL Group. He also integrated the International events team for PKL Group for other Major events such as Toronto PanAm Games, Glasgow Commonwealth, PeyongChang Winter Olympics, Dubai Expo, etc
