Extreme Hangout is an inspiring platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of young changemakers, popularizing the climate movement, and inspiring tangible environmental action. Having delivered 21 impactful events, including 3 at COP conferences, Extreme Hangout has brought together over 1,000 speakers from 140 countries and engaged 30,000+ visitors globally.
What is Extreme Hangout?
Extreme Hangout creates a dynamic space for climate activists, local communities, and thought leaders to connect, share ideas, and inspire change. With its interactive and engaging format, this event aims to:
Highlight solutions to climate challenges.
Motivate communities to take meaningful environmental action.
Provide a platform for the next generation of climate leaders.
Event Details
Timing: Flexible (2025 onwards).
Duration: 1-2 days.
Participants: 200 attendees, including climate activists, locals, and industry leaders.
Recent Editions:
Cascais, Portugal – July 2024.
Amsterdam, Netherlands – February 2024.
Hosting Requirements
Venue:
A 200-seater multi-functional venue (indoor or outdoor), equipped to host panels, workshops, and interactive sessions.
Financial Commitment:
Host Investment: Equivalent of €50,000 support or value-in-kind (VIK) contributions.
Logistics:
Support for Extreme International Staff and Volunteers:
Up to 5 flights and accommodation.
Sustenance during the event.
Local production services for event execution.
