'Subscription' occurs when an end-user registers for MEI services, either via registration at the company's websites, via co-registration at a marketing partner's website, or via an opt-out mailing. Information collected may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, e-mail address, business name, job title and demographic information. This information enables MEI to better tailor its content to subscribers' needs and to help its clients to promote their products and services. MEI offers a free voluntary registration service. During registration the subscriber is required to supply an e-mail address and other personal information. Subscribers have the ability to contact MEI to provide the company with their feedback. The company uses this information to respond to the subscriber and improve its products/services.
2. Use of information
MEI uses subscriber information for the company's own promotional and sales activities, as well as to support the promotional and sales activities of its clients and partners. The company creates reports on subscriber demographics and usage patterns for its partners. This information allows the company's clients and advertisers to promote their services more effectively, and allows its subscribers to receive announcements that are more pertinent to their interests.
