MEI Privacy Policy

Introduction

The Privacy Policy of Major Events International (MEI) (a UK registered company number 6361643) discloses what information the company gathers and how it is used. It demonstrates MEI’s commitment to full disclosure regarding privacy issues. Since MEI gathers certain types of information about its subscribers, the company wants subscribers to fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information.

1. Subscription

When you complete your MEI profile, including your CV, it can be made available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by any direct recruiter, employment consultant or other person or organisation who requests CVs matching your profile to be sent to them. MEI does not verify the identity or the nature of the business of such organisations.

IMPORTANT: Your current employer may be a customer of MEI or a client of one of our customers. MEI cannot restrict the customers who access profiles on our database and cannot be held responsible for any eventuality. As part of the registration process MEI offers you the option of remaining anonymous.

Some of our customers may be located in countries outside the European Economic Area.

If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed.

Please note that MEI reserves the right to remove from our database, CVs which include any content that we consider to be illegal or offensive.

5. Delete/deactivate policy

Subscribers may unsubscribe to MEI’s electronic mailings at any time by following the instructions contained within the electronic mailings, or by unsubscribing via the company's websites.

6. Subscriber access and control of data

MEI is aware of its obligations to allow subscribers access to personal details that are held and makes every effort to keep details held about subscribers accurate and up to date. Subscribers may at any time amend or update data by e-mailing the company at: enquiries@majoreventsint.com

7. Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by us on your computer which enable us to identify your computer when you access the MEI web site and to provide you with a convenient means of access.
