Objective
The Qatar Development Bank aimed to empower local entrepreneurs and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) with insights and tools to explore and capitalize on sports sector opportunities in Qatar. Through the "Turn Sports Opportunities into Business" workshop, QDB engaged MEI to develop and deliver a comprehensive training program that would equip participants with the skills to identify, plan, and execute sports-related business initiatives.

MEI designed a targeted workshop covering essential topics, including market research, brand development, networking, and customer care, tailored to entrepreneurs aiming to enter the sports sector.
The curriculum was developed with a focus on aligning with QDB's objectives to foster entrepreneurship and was delivered in both Arabic and English to maximize accessibility.

Conducted in an engaging format, the workshop incorporated group activities, case studies, and real-life scenarios to provide practical applications.

Participants received co-branded certificates of attendance, reinforcing their completion of the program and their readiness to pursue new business ventures.
Outcome
The workshop successfully guided 25 Qatari entrepreneurs through the process of turning sports sector opportunities into viable business plans, fostering a network of aspiring business leaders in Qatar’s emerging sports industry. This initiative further aligned with QDB’s broader mission to promote sustainable economic growth by empowering local SMEs.
